At just 26 years old, Jason Wu has done more than anyone else in the toy industry. Within a few years, he elevated Integrity Toys from a mass producer in the toy market to a manufacturer of high-end collectible dolls.
In the first two years, sales of its Fashion Royalty ® models surged above most of its competitors. Born and raised in Taipei, Jason Wu toured the world early in his life. He notably studied in Canada, France and different parts of the United States, before settling in New York, where he attended the prestigious Parsons School of Design.
Passionate about fashion, Jason Wu started designing clothes for dolls when he was a child: he was already a budding designer.
In 1998, after Jason Wu won a fashion doll design competition, Mr. Percy Newsum (president of Integrity Toys), noticed the young man's potential and recruited him as a freelance designer. Within two years, Jason Wu showed that he was playing an important role in the company, which led to him being appointed full-time creative director, before becoming a simple partner some time after.
In a market often seen as somewhat tired and old-fashioned, Jason Wu has breathed new, unique energy into this field with his personal approach to design and business acumen. Around the world, Jason Wu and his achievements have been the subject of numerous fashion publications. Jason Wu currently resides in New York.
