This figurine that we have always known, which does not age has a story. Barbie was born in 1959 in the United States.

Its creator, Ruth Handler, wife of Elliot Handler, co-founder of the toy specialist group Mattel, had this idea when he saw his daughter Barbara playing with paper dolls. Like many children, she had fun role-playing by imitating adults.

Ken met Barbie in 1961. The name is hiding behind that of Ruth and Elliot Handler’s son Kenneth.
