"Rerooted" is the term used to mean that the Barbie or Ken's hair has been re-planted. These dolls therefore have a different hair color or texture than the original doll. I performed the reimplantation. I mostly used Saran hair which is my favorite texture and is the hair type most often used for Barbie dolls (but Mattel sometimes uses Kanekalon hair on Barbies too) . It has a waxy feel, which helps keep flyaways at bay, and it's heavier than other hair types. It is somewhat resistant to curling, so if you want to curl it, I suggest using smaller curlers and smaller sections of hair than you want for the end result. It can be boiled with very hot water.
